Republishing Guidelines

Republish our stories!

Scienceline stories may be republished for free, with permission, as long as you follow these guidelines:

• The story must be republished in its entirety, including any links or citations.
• Include the author’s name in the byline.
• Include a sentence above or below the story’s text indicating that it was originally published on Scienceline, and link to the story on our website.
• Similarly, if you share the story on social media or in a newsletter, please credit both the author and Scienceline. We also appreciate being tagged!
• Do not edit the story’s text in any way, except to reflect changes in time and location (for example, “this month” can be changed to “last month”) or editorial style (for example, “2%” can be changed to “two percent”). The headline and subheading may be changed.
• You may not license, sell, or further syndicate our stories.
• Send us the new URL once the story has been republished.
