Reba the dog watches over her flock.
Annie Hopper wants people to remember that meat is precious. On the shores of Lake Champlain in Panton, VT, she’s raising sheep, turkeys, and chickens, and hopes to one day turn her fledgling farm into a true supplier of food. “I’d love to model a way that agriculture can be both productive and sustainable,” she says. Welcome to Scuttleship Farm, where the alpacas and llamas roam free.
